DIGITALIZATION OF ART! BOON OR BANE?

Modernization and globalization has been the biggest gift when it comes to mankind and has evolved how humans have capitalized their true potential in terms of technology advancements. From High speed trains to driver less cars, the world is only moving in the forward direction making means of life easier day by day.

Globalization has parallelly been responsible for the negative influences it has had in the past and even till now on the environment, resources, human psychology, naturalization of things, like Art! Art has been the longest known form of depicting thoughts and ideas through drawings, sculptures and many other forms of art. It is this nature of Art that has placed it above other activities or expressive things that define a story or an idea, it is the uniqueness and the incomparable value of every painting that illustrates its worth.

The buzz on the internet that is topping the news charts is NFTs and it is a very diverse and a very unreliable bubble that is proving out to be income generating for some, but the question remains - Until When? The most shocking attribute about NFTs is the fact that it physically does not exist and is a Digital representation of it instead. It is diluting the sincere amount of work that goes in creating an artwork physically and then selling it. A GIF selling out for 50,000$ can be a potential embarrassment towards an artist who spends more than month creating a painting on canvas which would in turn sell for way less than a NFT marketplace piece.

The debate now remains as to the uncertainty on the future of NFT bubble and the the future of budding artists, which one would start walking towards its end first. The insane amount of money that is floating in the Digital currency world could be the change that would de-value economies or it could be the future that we are all unaware of, however it will clearly take away the charm of original smells of canvas and paint and the hand felt texture and story behind every painting.
